Religion & Music

Dr. Marius E. Marton is a Pastor, Chaplain and Musician.

I was born in Romania during Ceausescu's Communist Regime.

Because of the hardships and limited opportunities, my father, Jacob, risked his life and escaped across the border to the former Yugoslavia, from there to Austria and eventually came to the United States in 1985. My mother with her three boys came to this country in 1987. The family settled in Lakewood, OH where I attended high school.

After high school I was accepted into the Baldwin Wallace College Conservatory of Music program where I studied Guitar Performance and Composition.  Performing, composing, arranging and conducting music professionally is still a desired and practiced hobby of mine.

In 1996 I had the opportunity to study in Pastor Louis R. Torres' school of Lay Evangelism how to become an Evangelist. Upon completion God provided opportunity for me to hold over 45 Evangelistic Series in three languages and in three countries with wonderful results.

In 2007 the Ohio Conference of Seventh-day Adventists invited me to serve as Pastor in a three church district. It was here that I was ordained to ministry in 2010.

I graduated from United Theological Seminary in 2012 with a Master of Divinity Diploma and in 2015 from the same Seminary obtained a Doctor of Ministry Diploma. I continue to serve as Pastor in the Ohio Conference where my work includes preaching, holding Seminars and writing books.

Since 2014 I became a member of the International Conference of Police Chaplains. It is my pleasure to serve our Law Enforcement officers who serve us.

My beautiful wife Marika and I got  married in 1999 in Romania where I served as pastor at the time. God blessed our marriage with two handsome and energetic boys, Landen and Austin.
